    @Legionreturns ; I'm planning on bringing a Blues Cube Artist.  It's got a Usb out and line out, although not played with either. Doesn't really do high gain (no shit) but will handle the classic rock stuff if it's of any use.
    That *sounds* like it would do fine, as long as we can chuck pedals into it. Do you know if the line out has cab emulation?
    It's not explicit, but the implication from the manual is that the line out has some kind of (fixed) emulation. The USB is a bust, needs a driver so is clearly for direct to PC.

    Takes pedals OK, I can bring a small board with drives and delay. Also have the foot controller as an alternative (channel switch, blend, boost on both channels). Happy to experiment at Bob's early on to be sure.

  • @Snags cherrs bud, sounds like it'll be fine.

    As long as you're ok with it getting used for the gig that's cool. I'm not sure how many songs we've got 3 guitars on anyway tbh

    @legionreturns I was going to bring my AER compact 60 Acoustic Amp again for Studio/Gig use - that has a DI out for the P.A and is mic stand mountable to use as a fold-back monitor . Happy for people to use that for the open mic/gig (if using an acoustic?)

    That sounds great. Only thing is I'm running at 8 inputs already, which is the limit for my recording desk. That's why I was suggesting using the Kat, but with the speaker off. It's not too shabby as it has an acoustic preamp.

    We can look at it on the day and decide.

    Okey Dokey , I'm bringing it anyway for anyone that is using an acoustic int' studio .

    Also if anyone want to duet/wants some support for the "Open Mic" I'm happy to try and thrash together a song or 2 with anyone that fancies it .

    as others have said, happy to forego beer vouchers and PAYG, it it helps finance. Not bothered about drinking much at Bob's or the club. trying to cut down anyway. a pint or 2's plenty.

    might even drive to the club. that'll sort it.

    the above does not apply to Friday night at Magic Rock which is a walk from the hotel!

    is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

  • Can I get a quick show of hands for those wanting a slot for the open mic, and how many songs you've got prepped?

    <Puts hand up>
    <Puts hand down>
    <Puts rubber glove on>
    <Puts hand back up>

    Me sir! Me sir!

    Would definitely like to do a couple (one's quite short) and if there's time/we're looking for filler could easily do three. Or 10. But no more than three, really.

  • I'm thinking there are fewer than we previously expected, so a ten minute slot is probably fine

    I meant 10 songs, not 10 minutes ;)  But yeah, I've got a definite two that I think would work well, and the third will depend on the  mood of the evening.

    I’m hoping to do a song or 2 if I can decide on what....

  • I've got three songs! Defo want to do this even though my face will go BEETROOT with embarrassment.

    I think I might bring my GS Mini instead of the Larrivee. Easier to carry around.
    Trying to decide whether it's the PRS or Suhr I bring for Paradise City / Holiday Road!

    To avoid everyone doing different versions of "My old man's a dustman" do we need to declare our open mic songs in advance, or is everyone up for that knife edge tension on the night? =D

  • BTW my acoustic has no strap. Can I just sit??

    I'm going to do:
    In My Life (Beatles)
    Solitary Man (Johhny Cash)
    Country Roads (John Denver)
