It's a colour called Competition Orange- mainly found on offsets 63-64, less than 10 made. It's like a faded CAR and it was based upon Ford's racing colours.

7/8 (got the first one wrong). I'm not much of a Fender fan either so it can't have been too hard for the cognoscenti.

I tried the headstock quiz too and only got one of those wrong - picked the wrong Martin!

I got 8, though the LPB looked like Sherwood Green, but since that wasn't an option, I went with LPB.  I have a few Burgundy Mist guitars and it's one of my favourite colours (after Shell Pink!).

I know some folk love that finish but to me it's like Mushroom Burst.... 
Don't Fender do a similar finish in silver?
