  • No fees for my Aion order 3 months ago.
I love the supreaux. It's a bit like the mkii liquid sunshine. Quite opposite to the odr (which is smooth and fat), its a transistor drive so more crispy but very characterful. I use it for overall cutting rhythm parts or for neck/middle pickup clarity.

Anyone tried the Pharaoh clone (Ramesses), any good? Been listening to a lot of Elder recently, got me gas’ing for fat fuzziness :)

  • You can get Aion kits from musikding in Germany (although they're out of stock of the Andromeda/ODR-1 at the moment).

I haven’t tried any of those listed recently, but keen to try the Sexdrive, Lightspeed and KoT clones. Tho I never play at trouser flapping volume, so the KOT may be lost on me.

I wonder if he’s also working on a Duellist? Seems the obvious flavour of the month sort of thing that would make a good “big build”

Bumping this 2.5 years later as I'm going to order a Tubebender after @UnclePsychosis ' recommendation.

What else have been your favourites from Fuzzdog - particularly anything more recent?

Since my last post here I built:
    • Lightspeed (meh)
    • Sexdrive (slightly meh)
    • DRV (srsly what is the fucking point of a polite Rat???)
    • EQD Death Drive (ooh boy yes the opposite of polite)
    • KOT (posh but delightful)
...and probably some others I can't remember. IIRC I still have an engineer's thumb comp and some sort of treble booster in the cupboard somewhere waiting to be built.

My favourite builds from Fuzzdog have been...

Tubebender. Is it a drive? Is it a fuzz? Dunno but it's ace.

Germanium Karma Suture - it's a fancy Harmonic Percolator and it's amazing.

Red Llama. A fuzzy drivey box of joy.

Ta - those all sound like good shouts and nothing I've had before, except the Red Llama which I've been meaning to try again. Incidentally I don't understand why they haven't done a "Smalls" version of the RL as its a great circuit.

I'll also go for a Phase 90 as they're in stock and I've never actually owned one in almost 20 years of wanting to.

    Any other suggestions?

Just remembered there is a Slow Gear lit as well. This may turn into a nifty set of builds :)

A germanium karma suture is probably the most underrated and versatile fuzz I can think of, I love mine.

I like the Blue Fool very much, and still can't get over how good the Angry Andy sounds and how versatile it is for so few parts.

  • My latest Fuzzdog is the gristleizer.
The last one i built was the baxandall Rat with the ruez trimmer. Love it…. And a tremulus lune clone.

I've just started building a Fuzzdog Tubebender kit - very excited! I built the original kit from Guitar Magazine back in 2002. Really loved the pedal and used it on a few recordings. It soon broke however due to my poor workmanship. I now have many years of soldering under my belt so this one should be a bit better! I remember loving the tone of that pedal with the gain on high - can't wait!

    Finished a couple last week...
Spectre Verb (EQD Ghost Echo) - great reverb, does a cool pre-delay slap thing
Chimera (Benson) preamp - fairly generic OD to my ears despite the hype!

    +1 for the spectre verb.

I also really like the Engineers Thumb Compressor.

Recently made a Beast ( J. Rockett Blue Note ).

The most recent PCBs are on a par with Madbean and PedalPCB finishes, really early PCBs had pads that didn't manage too many reheats without lifting.

I always wanted a Magnavibe and it took my too long to realise that fuzzdog do one as the magic vibes tremolo. Beautiful sounding thing, and an easy build

I completed the FuzzDog TubeBender - it’s all I hoped for and more. Very pleased with this pedal. Great range of textures and tones.

Is that the ‘3 band Rat’? What does it sound like? I always wished my Rat had more EQ control.

  • I have built a few. The Klon was great and sounded awesome.
I did a delay and I liked the dirt mod. That is a great pedal.
I like the he often adds mods in the build notes.
I've built lots from Jed's Peds as well, they are also good.
I also built from pedal PCB, otalgia and the bits box ones.
Recently I've been using old school tagboard and also vero
