The Most Memorable Jools Moments

  • There's dozens of great performances by great artists, but I think the show is most memorable when it introduces you to someone new. I'd never heard of either of these acts before seeing them on Later, but am now a big fan of both and have seen both live several times....

(It was actually the performance of Johnny Got A Boom Boom and Falling In Love With You Again That really piqued my interest, but I can't seem to find them!)

@Kebabkid Lewis Taylor. I really think he's a bit of a lost genius. His first album is a match for any of the other neo-soul albums of the same period, and his production on it is outstanding.
I agree Matt. I had Steely Dan as my zenith for this but if I could be any muso in the world, it would be Lewis Taylor. His talent was incredible and I'm listening to that first album as we speak.

This is probably my favourite though, great frontman and watch the guitarist at the end.

Thought I would add an old 60's band to the list. If you have never heard of Forever Changes by Love,, then shame on you

I remember seeing At The Drive In and thinking "what the hell was that?!"

This clip unfortunately cuts out before it hands back to Jools saying "and now, Robbie Williams..." His face was priceless at that moment.

I remember a chaotic performance on that Chris Evans show. My take-away from that was - "wow, that rhythm guitarist held the song together well".

IMHO, this is the finest 3.22 of televised music in modern times.

    So many gloriously mental bits...
