When I have one, I get the flu.

    Post hoc ergo propter hoc?

    Or just bad luck?
I prefer correlation is not causation.
I like that too, I was going to use it but save it for multiple sample data scenarios  ;)

Okay, I don't know this bit of pedantry.
Post hoc... requires a temporal order:  first this ['flu jab], then this [a snotty nose]
"correlation is not causation" -- does not require temporal ordering. So, you could have rates of suicide by hanging, strangulation, and suffocation perfectly [almost] correlated with US spending on science, space, and technology.
I'm thinking the temporal requirement of #1 'flu jab, then #2 "'flu" point towards post hoc...

Lest we forget - it was Swine Flu that took Jase from us .......

Influenza is not a heavy cold, it is facking serious stuff.  Only time I had a proper dose of 'flu (as opposed to seasonal man-flu) I was off work for a fortnight and lost half a stone, I looked like a corpse at the end of it !
Know what you mean. I felt like one, too.
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
