Lovely guitar, shame it doesn't have f-holes.

Different tail piece..  This one has fine tuners.

  • Nice, but do they do it in black? Not sure I'd want white ...
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

But white guitars do generally sound brighter, which could be interesting ;)

He seems to be able to get quite a few more usable tones out of that than I was able to get out of the one I had for a while...

I’ve got an old Lucille in black, I’m not sure of the age but I bought it used around 21 years ago. It’s very similar to the white one in the video but has a different headstock logo.  it does have the TP6 tuneable tailpiece which BB certainly had on his later guitars, I saw him live on a couple of occasions in the 1990s and he used it to tweak the tuning between songs.  The guitar is Okay but I’m not keen on the Varitone feature and use position 1 which is basically a 335 circuit I’ve also never used the stereo output. To be quite honest I actually prefer a 335.

When the Lucille first came out there were two models - the one that survives today but also a version which I think was called the standard. It had no f-holes, had a tp6 tailpiece, dot markers and tuners with built in winders, but crucially, it had no varitone. I bought one and enjoyed it for many years. When time came to sell it I was accused of trying to sell a fake because it lacked the varitone. Quoth me “yeah and I filled in the f holes with polyfilla”. He didn’t buy it.

  • Regarding the video, someone might want to point out to him that the tp6 has no bearing on intonation whatsoever.

Wrote about this guitar the other day for gearnews and they are already arguing over the Richlite on US forums....

BB used the TP6 fine turners on most his guitars

Looks great, but it will cost too much and appear like a cash generator.

    Realllllly does look great though

I had the epi model for a while but is no substitute for a 335 cos that circuit is real tone sucker..
