What sort of video content would you want?

YouTube is crammed with new gear reviews but one thing you don't see much of is good reviews of old guitars and gear. Particularly the cheaper end such as old Jap copies etc.

The old 'Howard tests the crap' style video's for those that can recall them.

Definitely needs 2 presenters. Ideally one of them should be given a rank of some kind. Major or Colonel would be good. Nothing lower ranked.

the other one shoups be able to play better than the Colonel, but for some reason won’t.

There's a ton of talent on this forum and I think a series of tutorial videos - basic playing, learning to solo, tips for playing live, mixing tutorials etc.

Jesus H.... Fretmeister's back!  Right, that's it, there has to be something going on....  There's no way that Drew, Manic, Mags AND Fretmeister returning in the space of a week is coincidence.  I refuse to believe it.

If you're doing demos let the audience hear what the pedal / amp sounds like in a live room.  Too many demos have a load of slick production that hides the true sound of the gear.

I could go on forever but;
1) shit quality image/production...I probably won’t bother watching past the first minute 
2) sound quality...same as No.1. It’s 2018, if you can’t use a half decent mic then just don’t bother uploading the video
3) Pedal/gear demo - Lets actually hear the equipment, not just someone rambling on talking rubbish for 7 mins of a 10 min video 
4) LONG intros? - Fuck right off
5) Same intro/logo/font style on all the videos, further down the line if things change due to User Comments, then fair enough. But to start with some uniformity would be good.
6) For me one of the most important...A Genuine & honest review. Let’s not lick Fenders/Gibson’s/PRS arse. If something is shit, then let’s say it.

You nominate a very Naff song and fret boarders do their cover either solo or with their band in whatever style they like

I'm still not sure I quite understand the purpose:

It seems a lot of work if the aim is to increase the Fretboard forum/channel brand profile, with an eventual long term result that this could maybe help (presumably selected) related bands and companies.

I'm also not completely sure what the gap is that the channel would aim to fill in content terms?

Of course if part of the reason is that those involved enjoy doing it then that's great.

This isn't meant as criticism and I realise I'm probably missing something, but just trying to get my head around the thinking behind it.

One thing that hacks me off greatly is YouTube negativity - random trolling from complete arseholes. So moderated comments is a strong plus for me (and no I'm not volunteering).

Technique, gear, builds, gigs/jams, DAW HowTo, Modellor HowTo, demos, xyz of the month - all great suggestions.

(Random thought - modeller patch database/exchanges would be handy)

I always enjoy videos where youtubers that i watch get together and do collaborative videos.. probably early days for that but something to perhaps shelf for later..
