    Congrats that's a lovely guitar!
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

You just know there's a really nice flame top under that.

    Happy NGD!
Judging by the binding it could be a stunner, almost worth stripping!

    Great Gas @Kylef congrats

Yes, and then people could tell you it looks too blingy.

  • I've a McCarty Soapbar Standard and its a total keeper.  Great tonal pallete and possibly the best sustain of any guitar I have ever played.  Enjoy!

I've sold a couple of those in the past and have a soft spot for them - slightly different neck profile on that model as well - Normally would be a wide/fat that model has a Custom D profile so a touch more depth - Like the 5 way switch option on it as well
Yes, the 'Regular D' neck was my favourite too - slightly narrower than the Wide-Fat but the same depth. I hated the switch - one of those cheap-feeling 'Megaswitch' models which give you neck+bridge in the middle - so I replaced it with a standard CRL 5-way and a pull-switch on the tone control to engage the bridge pickup... giving all seven combinations.

  • Good choice. Great playability and sounds from this model. Have you tried Kinman hum-cancelling P90's? Enjoy!
