OD pedal blend knob

As i understand things the Klon(s) gain knob is actually a blend knob for adding distortion to the clean signal....more gain just adds more dirt to the clean....so you control the mix of both

is this unique to the Klon, sounds like a GREAT idea do others do this?

On paper it sounds great, why are they not more popular ?  (blend knobs)

Sounds a bit weird IMO. The sparkle drive is a well known example of a clean blend drive.

One side of the VS-XO has a blend knob. I didn't like it, but that may be more a dislike of 808 circuits than blend knobs.

The Tate FX Antares sounds very nice in clips, but I haven't heard one in the flesh.

You can use a Boss LS-2 to blend in any overdrive you like with your clean sound....

I do the 'Antares Overdrive' which is a mid push drive with a parallel clean blend as someone already mentioned!
