I tried to do the quiz, but they wanted a copy of my passport before they’d give me the result..

Really? That's the most fake-looking of the lot.

Yes, the finish gave it away. It did happen occasionally I’m sure, but nowhere near as frequently as the output of the Fender Custom Shop may lead you to believe.

    6/8

The Nash threw me, I was sure it wasn't a Fender relic but I didn't think they'd include a Fender copy.  Also screwed up on the Frampton LP, I didn't know they'd issued an aged version.

  • 100%! But I'm such a sad case when all I can do is tell the difference between reliced & vintage guitars. I need to get a life....

4/8..... well I thought my Belt Sander Special looked authentic, so what do I know. And no, I don’t want to buy a ‘Vintage’ Guitar  :)

The top bit on the 78 Deluxe Tele looks relic to me.
Me too. 6/8 all in all - not quite bad if I have to say so myself.

I got the first 5 right but then things fell apart and I only got another one right. I guess that I’ve got a short attention span.

I thought for a while about the goldtop, but noticed the lacquer checking wasn't even all over.  I figured it would have been more even if it had been a relic.
Exactly the same. Got the bass wrong.
I answered all the questions immediately - just the first impression. Nothing else.
I am no Fender expert but I would say that the John Cruz relicing was very good on the bass. Wear down to the wood has to be very good to fool the human eye.
