To be fair, the one Nuno used was practically falling apart and had at least one valve that had gone microphonic. Apparently they serviced the amp after one of the valves completely died, and it never sounded as good again.

To be fair, that wasn't daft. While the EJ Twin was probably the very best BF Fender in the world and I did say you shouldn't ever sell it, a brown Vibroverb is possibly the best *Fender* in the world, as well rarer and arguably more usable at home - even though a Twin does sound fantastic at very low volume as well.

John, as much as I loved the condition and the beauty of the Twin, I never quite bonded with it the way I have with my 6G2 Princeton and my J20's. It is what it is- a hugely loud hifi peice of perfection that is a very blank canvass. Th VV has much more character.

Exactly the reason I like it. Although am using it in a wet/dry setup with the Rift vibro...!

Brilliant it has the blue molded caps and not leaky astrons, looks like routine maintenance of the electrolytic caps and bias caps.

Personally i do the filter caps and bias cap to save my transformers and tubes should anything blow.

Enjoy your amp but we need clips now lol.
