So...out, an AV65 I never bonded with and in, a 2017 LP Studio, a 2016 MIJ FSR ‘60’s Strat, a battered JV Squier Strat and an interesting LPJ-ish thing.

And so, it’s back up the M5 to H7 towers.

Yes, relatively conventional.  Although I like the look of the LP Jr-ish thing.

I thought from the first picture you were playing chicken driving at other motorists on a single-lane road.

Well, even I have a liking for *some* normal guitars...

Also, parting with the AV65 wasn’t that much of a wrench - I never got on with the neck profile and I’ve got plenty of pre-CBS, AVRI, MIJ, CIJ, MIM, blahblahblah Jags and JMs, so I don’t think I’ll miss it, TBH...

Reader, I witnessed this photograph being taken. (From the Skoda Yeti, just in shot, left of frame.) Again, the vehicle was stationary. It was difficult to tell whether the occupants were lost, scouring the car park for sight of yours truly or if the Rover 75 had finally shrugged off this mortal coil ... and a few pistons. At least I would have been nearby to offer a push.

As an AVRI '65 Stratocaster owner, I love the neck profile. I can foresee this Jazzmaster getting similar upgrades to my AVRI '62 Jaguar. i.e. Duncan Antiquity pickups and Staytrem bridge and arm parts. Just need to flog a few more things to justify the outlay.
