Back in the early 80s we would scour the classified in the local paper for guitars and these would crop up often (in various guises). In our naivety, we thought they were decent replicas of a real Les Paul!
I eventually got a Vantage, which was not really a copy (original headstock shape, and a coil split switch). Quite a nice guitar, despite the arched plywood top (good for feedback) and bolt-on neck.
