I tried The Lakes Distillery Elderflower Gin last night. Oh. My. Goodness.

Dangerous stuff, but upon closer inspection, it’s only 20%. That means you can drink twice as much.

I recently received a bottle of Romeo's gin.  This one has a strong note of cucumber on top of the juniper. Lovely with Fever Tree Aromatic.
    Craft Gin Club?
Got it in one.  Delivery day is quite exciting, isn't it?

They have a "recommend a friend" scheme that gets both parties a discount off their next box.  If anyone is interested, drop me (or @FX_Munkee !) a PM.

Gin, ice, twist of lemon peel.  Martini perfection !  With our without bitters.

Tanqueray is good for a gin martini. Bombay Sapphire adequate. Gordon's ordinary is weak overpriced rubbish, export is excellent. Beefeater, Plymouth all good.

Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

Bride of Boogie and I went to Hampton Court flower show last summer and seemingly every other stall was selling gin. Lots of free samples   :) We bought some pear gin, which was lovely stuff. One place was selling some stuff flavoured with botanicals whose main selling point was that it changed colour from blue to pink when tonic was added. Tasted like cough medicine though.  :s

I might buy somebody a present of a bottle of gin... I know nothing about gin other than Bombay Sapphire is her favourite. So, is there any posh-type gin in the same vein that I could buy to impress?

My gin-drinking friend loves the Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla:

She used to like the Opihr gin, but now prefers the Tanqueray.

Big gin fan here, always have been as I really wasn't keen on vodka or whisky. But....I drink mine with lemonade as I don't like the bitterness of tonic.

Usually I find that anyone who says they don't like gin, really means they don't like tonic but just haven't tried gin with anything else.

I've got a pretty substantial collection....have photo's somewhere....working at the Diageo bottling plant in Fife does help with keeping me well stocked...

I love a G&T but the Tonic plays havoc with my acid re-flux. I learned the hard way that tonic water is quite acidic. I now drink Gin with Soda water which doesnt have the same acidic effect. Not so nice as a good Tonic Water though

Don't just get a bottle of "posh" gin, gin has several flavour profiles, some are more herbal, some are more citrus, some are dry, some are sweet.  If she likes Bombay Sapphire then get one that is on a similar profile.

The Botanist is a good gin that is also dry and a little more posh.

This is also really good, distilled about 5miles from me.

The blood orange is what got me started Chris. So refreshing and the perfect tipple for my palette.

MGE is 40 this year @stonevibe. You have great taste. I've got the app, not had chance to use it yet.

I'm looking forward to trying all these. I just bought my mate a bottle of Roku for his 50th and he'd best return the favour!
Yep, same here. Lovely isn’t it.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to
