    "first to see will buy"
    That spiel belongs to the age of printed lineage classified advertisements.

    In the realm of on-line distance selling, it has no relevance whatsoever. In fact, if a potential purchaser had the seller's address to be "the first to see", some sort of eBay misdemeanour would have been committed and wrists would be slapped.
    You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

    I like "sold as seen", which I can't read as meaning anything other than "there is something terribly wrong with this that will not be immediately apparent".

    Squire = someone can't be arsed to read what's on the headstock, so why would you trust any other observations they have about their wonderful instrument.

    Rare = they weren't very good, so not many people bought them.

    Vintage = not necessarily the same as desirable.

    Custom = hacked & knackered.

    First to see will buy = yep, I've seen that recently.

    Good condition = just a few dings, a bent tuner, some screws missing, and a touch of rust.

    Mojo = rusty.

    Plays like butter = bring a cloth to wipe your hands after.

    Better than the real thing = no it isn't.

    Will be well packed = a bit of bubble wrap and a bin bag.

    Yeah this is all spot on.. I just get the impression that some sellers expect people to just click by it now without looking at the photos to find out what the item actually is

    Define “rare”.

    ....by the mid-Eighties, in the UK, Lancia Beta cars were rare because most of them had oxidised to brown dust.

    I love old Lancias (and Alfas) - Rare and super cool
