Guitarists who are neither overrated nor underrated

All these discussions about Clapton, Hendrix and the like had me thinking:
What about players who are neither overrated nor underrated, but are rated 'just right.'

For example, Dave Murray and Adrian Smith out of Iron Maiden- they are pretty decent players but not generally revered.
Nor are they the subject of controversy or derision.

Or the chaps out of Judas Priest (I forgot their names) - I mean they can play a bit although they're clearly not in the league of your Malmsteens or your Vais. But then you probably wouldn't slag them off.

These are players who, I would say, are rated 'just right'

Are there any other guitarists who fit into this category?

I think the output is more important than the technical skills required to produce it, so it's a bit of a loaded question.
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

It’s a part of my past I don’t like to talk about, especially my Little Willy.

I think the Iron Maiden and Judas Priest guitarists are underrated.

Anyone you could name would be considered overrated by some and underrated by others.

You'll never get consensus on "just right".

Ah, yes. Sorry. Very sorry. It was my piss poor attempt at humor. The trains were delayed...
That said... enjoyed checking out Glenn Tilbrook.
I have yet to research 'Your mate Andy' :)

Eddie Van Halen. May not be to your particular taste but almost no one is silly enough to think him overrated.

I think he’s often underrated as a rhythm player though. ;)

I think (most of) the guys who've been in Wishbone Ash and the Scorpions over the years have been just right for those bands.

But then again, I also think they're underrated....

Billie Joe Armstrong. Outstanding rhythm player. Even if you aren't a fan, the guy is tight as hell.

Billy Bragg. Can really play, but never to the detriment of the song.

Ken Hancock from Half Man Half Biscuit.  Not many people can play guitar solos ironically and get away with it. Him and Zappa, obviously.

    Bob Marley?
    Huw Lloyd-Langton?

Brilliant player, under rated band though.
