I came across something I think might be interesting to you, well who knows for sure. 

I saw a builder post up a refurb on his FB, the body came from a Bulgarian Orpheus (or is it Orfeus?).  Do you know anything about the company or their other builds?



IMO, the body looks almost exactly like a modern 'retro' model but the modern version seems a bit more safe...

@earwighoney - the Orfeus model most people seem to be aware of is the blue/white ‘rising sun’ Hebros 6-string (or bass) semi-acoustic (late ‘60’s, IIRC).

I've never LoL'd a guitar before simply due to politeness but I'm sorry Harry I really did laugh when I saw it even though being you I guessed it would be something mad, although quite how mad I had no idea. 

I generally love your posts and you do keep this place interesting.

Ha! I've always thought these were pretty cool, in an 'ohmygodthatsfoul' kind of way. Interesting about it being sonically advanced and with the widest frequency response of any guitar... I wonder how that would work when I tuned it to drop C?
