I think this was my old amp. Sounds superb, good luck with the sale.

Thanks Dan.  I think it was.  I just decided to buy back an old amp of mine and I only need one amp.  Nostalgia is a funny thing!

Thanks @JonHosker .  A great amp but sadly surplus to requirements since I bought back my old Top Hat.

Hmmm, am very tempted by this! Manual suggests that if required an 8 ohm speaker cab can be connected (albeit designed for a 16ohm load)...

Please excuse the probable 'newb' questions but...

in the event of wanting to either hook up to something like a Fryette Power Station to provide an FX loop would that be fine if then connecting to an 8 ohm cab given the PS options for variable output impedance?

Also, how is it as a pedal platform for delay, tremolo, modulation etc. if going in front of the amp, rather than through an FX loop?

    Thanks!

Good questions @Benm39!  The first is beyond my very minimal technical knowledge.  I simply plug in and play.  In terms of the second, I don’t use too many pedals but I regularly use a tremolo, delay and flanger.  They have worked just fine.  I think the Carrs are known as good fx platforms.

Others may be able to chip in here.  All I can do is possibly what you have already done and research on Google.

@wazmeister May be able to comment (he is very knowledgeable about Carr and has/had a Fryette).

Many thanks @Treewig1 that all sounds very positive.  The limited research I've been able to do certainly indicates it's a fantastic amp.  Definitely on my shortlist  :3
