I feel that way as well.

It's a personal thing but his bends and vibrato aren't quite to my taste. There's just something that's a bit off to my ear. Whereas Clapton's bends and vibrato are sublime.

I've posted it a few times but I really like the way the guy in the clip below plays it and I notice that he gets praise from Tim Pierce in the comments on Youtube.

One of my all time fave's what else can you say, the bass and drums underpinn the track so well, credit, It's not just the Clapton bit that makes this song what it is. Even that fucking idiot Baker.
