    I didn't see the price in the thread title, and I thought to myself "That's £1500 of anybody's money, even taking into count the 'amateur' nature of the build". Amateur in the best possible sense, of course. :) £1150 is a steal!

    Amateur is fair... its never been my main earner, which is something i am thankful of at the moment.   the good thing about being an amateur builder is i can piss around with silly ideas like this,  and offer them out at good prices when done.

     Although its worth noting i have been an "amateur" builder for 17 years now, and build a lot more guitars in more styles than a lot of the new "professional" builders that pop up and disappear each year ;)

  • I don't like sunburst finishes. And I don't like single cuts.

    So why can't I stop staring at those pics?! :o

    Stunning work @WezV ;

    Cool guitar... could you tell us a bit more about how you did the weight relief? I personally love les pauls style guitars with weight relief.

    I think it's in the build thread.  This one got some Swiss cheese holes before the top was attached

    @brooom - the beauty of a build thread is that you can follow the thought processes in the design as well as the step-by-step of the build process.  Check the thread and you’ll see way more about this guitar than you’d ever be able to see about an off-the-shelf buy.

    And all the attention to detail in the workmanship, quality of the materials, care in the process, etc, etc, etc.

    (I’m not employed by Wez Guitars!!)
    Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.
