I downloaded the series to watch whilst I was away in France so we weren't that far away at one point. Yes, nice scenery for sure. It leaves things open for another series so hopefully that'll come at some point. 

Lord no, I read them in English.  Mrs R. read one in French, but where she studied the language to degree level, I stopped after school 26 years hence which is why my skills are limited to 'hello' and 'another beer, please'.

Sounds like a nice holiday.  I could do with a week in France right now.

I have been doing Duolingo and got up to 'the bear is eating an orange' although oddly enough that never came up.

The Break is really really good. It's actually Belgian, but in the modern Scandi-noir style.

Wind River is American, but also similar in style to shows like The Killing and stars Jeremy Renner and Elisabeth Olsen both from the MCU.

Have also got Deadwind, Bordertown, and Borderliner on the go - all Scandi - but not finished them yet so will reserve judgement.

Lilyhammer is ACE. I think it was the first "made for Netflix" think I ever watched
