I'd like to try a guitar with a soundport!

What did I learn? More about other gutiarists really, I was there for one day out of 3
Watched his great performance in the evening though
Tony McManus is from Paisley, I think he used to perform around your way a lot
It seems he now lives in Ontario
the guitar percussion thing sounds gimmicky to me
I used to listen to Martin Taylor a lot, have loads of his CDs
Then one day I realised it would sound better with a bassist playing the bass part, etc.
Since then, whenever I hear someone trying to "do it all" on one instrument, other than as a one off piece, I wish they had got someone else to assist
That's how I feel when I hear a lot of instrumental stuff. I prefer guitar + singing.

I'm not sure what my point is now.
"Rusty" doesn't even cover it...!!

It's a good community, and it's partly habit
My first moves of every day are - Get up, Berocca, Espresso, BBC News, Fretboard.
I joined Music Radar to sell an amp and then just started posting more regularly. Once Music Radar went down and this place started I joined up. I still played guitar then. I sold my Lowden about 2 years ago. I promised myself if I ever felt the urge I'd start again, but I'm still waiting.
I only really frequent Off Topic and BCD as obviously I don't have much interest in things with strings anymore.
I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

Though another realisation has hit me. I'm never going to be a rock star lol.
Also played a bit acoustic last night. I've got a list of 60 quite challenging songs and I'm 43 songs in. It's satisfying getting the guitar parts down so well that you can focus on the singing (eek - THAT needs practice!) - very satisfying playing whole songs. Can still see how the full power of a band is awesome, but the logistics of getting one makes me doubt if it'll happen again. ALl good for now!
