    Looks like a 1 piece back on the J45 as well.

    It's not the join that gives it away, it's the obviously near-symetrical grain pattern in the upper bouts - you would never get that in a tree. (And further down, if you look more closely.)

    The one I had was very plain with none of that figuring, and could probably have passed for one-piece, but it definitely wasn't.

    Those old round shouldered J45s usually have a wonderful tone. I like the genuine Gibson vibrato on the 355, I know that they don’t function that well but they look super cool. Hope that they’re both okay when you receive them.
