I've been listening to my older tones quite a bit recently, and my older performances, and trying to make some judgement calls for the future. Basically... I might buy a Fryette/VHT amp again!!       

But it's not just that. I wanted to judge my usage of effects. The wetness of my reverbs and delays from each album, and compare and contrast. It's quite interesting to go back and see where you've been I think. But I thought I'd throw them out here.

These tracks also prove that I'm not the big swinging dick guitarist that I think I am, and that I'm fairly average.

This is really good stuff  the sort of stuff I wish I was capable of writing. The Wires/Dream\Wires distorted tones are awesome.

@TTBZ - I posted them mainly for comparison sake, and so people can hear what raw tones are often like on an album. Listening to them back to back for a few days is what made me go and get the VHT SigX back, coz I really like the high gain tones from it.

I think my guitars on W/D\W are too dry though. So I'm gonna be careful about that when tracking the new stuff.

Exegenital around the 2min mark there’s a heavy guitar that comes in, sounds double tracked but possibly a touch of modulation too? 

Can you share the deets for that?

Are you talking about when it goes into the big crunchy riff? That's just SigX double-tracked. No modulation effects. At 2:30 I play a single note version of the riff with a wah pedal, but again double tracked.
