According to my daughter he just likes playing .Dont we all .I sing in a pub at 73  and he fills stadiums .

Brian May is half the reason I picked up a guitar years ago.
Finally got to see him/Queen live with Adam Lambert at the O2 last year. I’ve been to hundreds of gigs over the years and can honestly say his guitar sound at that gig could be the best I’ve heard. Huuuuge tone.
He also looked like he was having a ball playing live.
Lambert was pretty bloody good too.
