The great Roddy Byers ( aka Roddy Radiation) and some bloke off Instagram. Pretty Gretsch, I can see that it’s an Electromatic but can’t work out which one. Anyone know? Ta.

    Gretsch G5127

I have the G5129. Same guitar in red, with black sides.

Punches way above its price bracket. Lovely guitar.

Cheers. Not a current model as far as I can see. That red one looks great.
I’m not generally all that interested in Gretsch but sometimes the look comes together ( for me).

I had a 5129. Amazing value due to the USA pups into a well made guitar. Sounds absolutely superb plugged in.

I also have a G5129. They have been discontinued for some years now but are excellent guitars. They were made in Korea and they came with two different bridges, one had a tunomatic style fixed bridge, the other has a moveable aluminium bridge with preset intonation.

What he said. I have the G5128, same thing in gold sparkle for mucho blingo.  Those single coils could be my favourite pickups eva.

Yes - I used to have a G5124 (the white one).

Great guitar but I just couldn't get into it and it sat largely unused till I sold it. But the pickups are superb; I have a DeArmond Starfire Special and DeArmond M75T that have very similar pickups and they are probably my most-used guitars for recording.

The M75T has exactly the same pickups as the G5124, just with white tops instead of black.

Some Dearmond guitars came with 2K pickups. Similar again, but different construction, more of a P90 flavour.

Dynasonics, Dearmond 2000’s, and 2K’s are well loved by single coil Gretsch devotees.  Pickups alone can fetch £250 a set (on a good day).
