Got an email offering a "black friday" annual subscription to Guitar mag for £27.99.

I've enjoyed the odd copies I've seen and  the price seemed decent value so I've dived in!

As the editor of Guitar Magazine if someone gave you a subscription to Guitar Magazine for Xmas surely that's a bloody awful present. And if you gave it to someone else they'd think what a cheapskate.

You need to think these things through Chris...

I've gone for this. I took up a similar deal for Total Guitar a year ago, it's a good mag but going for a different flavour for the next year.

I just re-subscribed to get the recent guitar stand offer, and the paper quality seems much lower and thinner now, more like the American mags use. I suppose this is a reflection of current market size and the need to make a profit.
