Storage of assorted guitar-related crap?

Bit of a random one, how do you store your music stuff? Not just guitars, as I'm guessing that's a mix of in cupboards/under beds/on walls, but all the associated stuff that gets accumulated - strings, capes, slides, parts, tools, pedals, projects whatever. 

At the mo I have most guitars in cases in a cupboard, and 2 under a bed. That cupboard also has bars acting as a shelf to allow a pedalboard to fit underneath. The rest is in a separate cupboard split into boxes, but I'm wondering if I could be more organised and stop it descending into an unsorted mess every few months. 

How do you store your stuff? Does anyone have any neat solution I haven't thought of?

Pretty much wherever I can find a free space but I'm like Stig of the Dump. I live in a tip. It might surprise people to find out that I live on my own.

Most of mine is in a small chest of drawers. I try to keep similar stuff together, like strings and cleaning stuff in one drawer, leads in another, spare pedals in the third etc.

I have mine strewn across my two houses. Which means I probably have a problem with hoarding and need some sort of treatment for collecting too much gear.

I use storage drawers from Wilco. They're ugly looking things but I stash them in the under stairs cupboard. The top lid lifts up, ideal for storing patch leads, plugs etc.

I've got a lunch box head and a 2x12 cab and they along with my board slide under the bed in the spare room. Gutiars live on a rack in there too.

Hard cases, tools, spare parts, cables etc are all up in the loft. Not too much hassle for me to go up and grab a case once a week for rehearsal.

Snags

Combination of storage drawers like @jezwynd and Really Useful Boxes that are then stacked up under desks etc.

Storage boxes for cables etc. and countless biscuit tins for all the parts, pickups etc. I've accumulated over the years

Cases and Bags in the loft. Everything else in the Man Cave/Music Room. Except capes. I don't have any guitar capes. I normally just play in jeans and a Tee Shirt.

I use this for the little bits...from B&Q

Then amps and pedals on these (google "chrome wire shelving") - I plan on buying another for the other corner of my room to put the guitar cases on each shelf, they go quite tall for those with a few guitars...

Guitars and basses in cases on a shelf in mancave. Bookcase with dvds and pedals. Misc parts in a shoebox. Leads in a bag. Spare valves in a Quality Street tin.

I use these for storing all sorts of my personal stuff from guitar bits ,stationary,computer stuff ,nik naks etc

I'm fortunately single, so my bedroom looks like an chaotic upmarket guitar shop. Guitars, Amps, Pedals and Music all round the room.
