Chapman Youtube Drama Continues...

Just caught up with this sh*t fest. 
  Don't like his guitars (actually Lee Anderton's guitars), but always seemed a reasonably nice guy, but with annoying public school type traits. 
This really is a non story not helped by muck spreading bitches like "The Guitarologist", who is like the Infowars of guitar videos.

I'll never get over the simply terrible Andertons Rickenbacker 330/360 review, but I fail to see any reason for the hate.

I think the thread has long reached the stage of dissolution due to lack of new information.  I’d expect things to be quiet until a new video is made by one of his critics - most particularly if KDH was to publish more screenshots of harassment given that Chappers still hasn’t called the dogs off.  Failing that I think we may be done here for a while.

I’ve just checked- Rob’s last 5 videos have nearly as many down votes as up votes. That’s going to utterly bury his next few videos and will cost him money.

I wonder if KDH is chuckling away to himself somewhere

Do dislikes matter in the economics of youtube? I thought it was solely based on views and if anything his views may have gone up from people hitting his videos in order to dislike them.

Yeah they count, they can bury your next few videos in the search algorithm- having four or five in a row is bad news. Not the end of the world but not good if part of your income is from YouTube

I've loosely followed the story out of idle curiosity and the only thing that I've really got from it is how disappointed I was to hear Riff City's side of the story. If its true and don't see why it shouldn't be it's sad the way that Rob worded his version of events so publicly. Was never a huge Chappers fan, I'd always rather watch Pete's demo's on Andertons than Rob but then i'm a blues guy not a shredder, but still can't help but have my opinion of him tarnished by all this.

The companies I have done social video content for all count dislikes as engagement - the only thing that matters - and encourage people to use the dislike button as much as they encourage them to use the like button.

That may be but it isn’t how it’s counted in YouTube’s algorithms

The 4 most disliked videos on youtube are by Youtube (2x), by Justin Bieber and the Baby Shark song. 

The dislikes really hammered those guys.

At least all this isn't happening while he still has those dreadlocks. There's just something about seeing them on an obnoxious white man that makes what would usually be mild annoyance turn in to fury.
