WTB: Fat Necked Strat

Hi,

I seem to ask this question in every so often but word it slight different. Anyone selling a strat with a big neck? 10/56V R8/R9 type fatness.

On the cheaper side of things if possible.

The Richie Kotzen Strat or the mark 1 Jeff Beck are the chunkiest Strat necks I’ve played. The Beck was huge as I remember.

EOB Strat, ridiculously fat neck and they always seem to pop up a/h

Out of interest Dan what was it with the hotrod neck you didn't like? I thought they had big necks?

Have you considered buying a Strat you like and then swapping the neck for a fat one? The joy of Strats is interchangeability...you could keep the original neck, so you can replace it to resell the guitar when you fancy a change, or sell and recoup some cost....

Have a look at John Page Ashburns . There’s one on EBay right now for a silly price (£675 or something like that). They have a lovely baseball bat neck and are generally great guitars.

@lovestrat74 Yeah I had two of the 62 Hotrods. The one, the neck was too big, the other, neck was too small. Very weird and just shows the variation between the same guitar. I believe they were the same year too.

@paulnb57 Really tempted to get a EOB and sell off the body. Love the 10/56V neck.

Some really nice guitars, but still on the lookout.
