  • It wouldnt be the same with a scarf joint ;)
Long conversation and controversial! I guess sustainability wasn’t so much a factor then? I don’t imagine it affects tone...
Still isn't for the core models - they're one piece necks too with no scarf joints. They've introduced them on the S2 necks though, but I sincerely doubt we'll ever see a rosewood neck option on those!!!

    Beautiful purchase btw, congrats :)

The pic in my Avatar is a McSoapy std with IRW.  Always a privilege to play.

Very nice mate, almost as nice as a certain MEQ you once had     (Yes, she's being very well looked after).
My other passion is firearms! Does that make me a closet Redneck???

@Grampa If timing been different, and I less fickle, you might not own that! Two happy campers now, as it were!  Just had a look at the one you got and I do actually prefer this to look at, although I'd like Phase III tuners - and this weighs in at a colossal 8lbs!

    Lovely guitar congratulations
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

As S2s? Good question, I'm not sure! I fairly sure that the McCarty line have a steeper neck angle and thinner headstock than the Customs/Standards though.

Wow, that's a really nice looking PRS - hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks.

I've gone off PRS for a long time but recently I've found I have some PRS gas, would really love to try the 594 single cut.  Trouble is, I only have a Squier budget!

Enjoy the McRosie dude!  Looks real nice.

  • It definitely sounds and plays as good. Just a shame I’ve had spend a couple of hours fannying on and Guitar Guitar have barely responded to my griping. A trip to Trust Pilot and the like required. Their customer service for a £2k plus guitar is very poor.

Do you know which branch it was? I've had very mixed service depending on which store. Epsom and Edinburgh are unfailingly excellent however I've had less than excellent experiences with Camden and Newcastle previously.

  • @Epsilon - I think Newcastle.
