Cooderstang finished!

Had a bit of spare time on my hands, so finished off the Cooderstang.....
Bought a set of Steinberger gearless tuners from @TTony and popped them onto this as it needed stringing up, so was a quick removal of the standard tuners and fitting of these wierdos....I really like them, super smooth and accurate....I thought I might get away with bypassing the string trees, as they pull the string downwards into the headstock, but the top e and b angles were a bit shallow, chances are at some point the original tuners will go back on and they will get swapped out onto something more deserving...I like them so much Ive ordered a gold set from Stew Mac for my White Blonde Strat build, should look good against a solid Rosewood neck....

This one was virtually done Tony, had to replace a knackered volume pot, swap, out the tuners and set it up

Yes I’m happy with it, getter than the two P90’s it had originally, especially like the neck gold foil, the Lap Humbucker is quite bright, is ok, but nothing special....

I’m idly pondering a set of these tuners for my reverse headstock Strat as having to reach underneath to tune makes my hand hurt

Somehow missed this.  It looks good.

I fitted a set of those tuners to a friends genuine '80's fake Firebird (to replace the actual genuine but completely shot 80's banjos).  Best tuners I've ever used.  Friend agrees too!

They became impossible to get hold of...I'll look out Stewmac if they are back stocking them.
