It's been a busy few weeks at TTTowers ...



Guess what's been happening ...

All the details are in the M&M section, but as not many people venture into those dusty recesses of  this forum, I thought I'd share the outcomes here.

1.  A red flat-top LP type thing ;

2 Based on a LP Jr DC shape, but with some tweaks ...












That one's gone straight onto the "never selling" pile!

3 .  Yup, another LP-ish build (this one has taken *years* to get complete!)








(Yes, it *is* missing a cavity cover - need to get that made!)

For a second there I  thought that Jr’s plate was an inlay. All look really nice.

Each one of these had its own challenges during the build process - they didn’t come off a factory production line somewhere - and each of those challenges had to be overcome to make reasonable playable guitars.

That was a really good read. I love the German carve on the singlecut. 

I reckon next time you should recess the plate into the body so it all sits flush.

It took a lot more than 5 minutes, but a very good read!  A few things happened there which would have had me smashing things up and then feeling a bit of a twat afterwards.

But the end results are very impressive.  Reminds me I do want something along the lines of a Junior/Special in korina, at some point.
