My Grandpa used to tell me when I was little that I wouldn't be allowed to cross the Forth Road if I drank it.

It was obviously a lie but that memory still makes me smile now.

It was originally called Iron Brew, but they had to change that bit as well because it's not brewed.

Although it contains neither iron or alcohol, it does contain both of the most dangerous synthetic yellow-orange food dyes - Sunset Yellow and Tartrazine - which are linked to hyperactivity, asthma, and other medical problems.

    Horrible stuff...

I'm taking the family to Scotland next week.

    i) I hope it's open.
ii) I hope that's not all that's for sale in the mixer aisle at the Lidl's that's 1.5 miles from Seton Sands.
iii) I hope Loch Lomond is a bit closer than it looks on Google.
iv) that the zoo has decent parking.

Sorry mate it's not. We class it as our one of one a day. From there on, however many litres is your preference. I used to get through a 3l fat bottle a day.

It's great for de-greasing car engine parts.
Also good for thinning paints and cleaning drains.

I also use it for etching PCBs and Brass

It's disgusting muck, and tastes like some kind of disinfectant. Almost as bad as Red Bull.

i - yes, apart from the Western Isles on a Sunday.
ii - no, there's Grant's vodka as well. Except on Sunday morning.
iii - about 2 hours on a good day when you don't hit traffic on the M8 or the Edinburgh City bypass.
iv - driving/parking in Edinburgh is why I work in Glasgow even though I live much closer to Edinburgh...

Well, the weather might be ok.

Wifey wants to do the Ben Nevis cable car thing with the kids too. I've tried to explain it's a bit of a trek.

The parking at the zoo isn't too bad but it is an extra £4 on top of the tickets.  I think the car park actually belongs to the hotel.

Also, if you want to see the pandas book your tickets online and reserve a viewing ticket at the same time.  We got to the zoo at 10am and the earliest viewing available was at 4:30pm.  I might have waited it out but we couldn't expect my 4 year old niece to.

Irn Bru and a steak slice is perfect Saturday morning hangover fodder before a day's work.
Vodka Irn Bru is ace too. Use Blavod at halloween and pour the Irn Bru in first, then carefully layer the Blavod on top and you'll have an epic black/orange affair.

Move further north and we have this rare beast:

irn bru is excellent, i liked it when you could still get it in those glass bottles that they gave you back a 10p deposit or whatever for.
