A nice screwdriver.

What's Hot
I'd like a nice screwdriver which takes hex bits.
Maybe something with a wooden handle.
Any ideas?

Not wooden handle, but I've had one of these for 10+ years and it makes a very satisfying clicky noise

For my 2p worth nice screwdrivers don't take bits. Buy a quality set of screwdrivers the handle size will match the head and they will last many years of use.

True, but then you need about 50 different screwdrivers...

I have several hex bit drivers and a selection of bits including one sold as 'security bits'. For the rare times I need something esoteric they are handy enough, but you can't beat a quality dedicated screwdriver with a flat head and pozidrive in both large and small. Those hex bit holders won't go deep into the recessed holes on plastic cases of things like vacum cleaners/grass cutters etc. when they need a deep clean/service.
Quality screwdrivers cost money, but tend not to cam out of the screw head in a slight breeze.
These days I have added Robertson (square head), philips, pozidrive, flat head, star head and torx heads to my one piece screwdrivers, the fancy bits stay put most of the time.

I like the look of that very much, from a "thingness" point of view :)

It was wonderful to hold too @stickyfiddle, comfortable, weighty without being heavy, balanced, etc!

This thread reminded me of them, just in time for birthday present wish lists ...
