Only disappointment is not seeing how the paint was done!
Ha, sorry about that. As you can imagine, it gets a bit messy but it is fun
    So, whats the messy method?

The blue and pink main areas were painted using a brush so weren’t too bad but al the rest was a combination of pouring and flicking runny paint at it.

You literally throw paint at the body. I used bamboo chopsticks taped together in threes so they picked up enough paint that I could then fling it at the guitar.

After loads of research and thinking, I ended up going for artist Acrylic paint. I used a pouting medium and water to thin is down enough to be able to flick it around and then it’s finished with a clear gloss varnish.

The varnish is really weird, there’s a whole 400ml spray can on there but you can’t tell it’s there at all other than the surface being hard rather then slightly soft acrylic.

It might not be a super-thin nitro finish but it’s worked and the guitar sounds great.

Oh and just for interest, including the mods, the pickups, the tuners that I also replaced, the painting and the original guitar it’s cost less than £600
