    It's amazing how many people do this sort of thing - basically it means that solid-state pedals add something to the sound of valve amps, even when they're clean.

    Which I fully agree with, by the way - it just seems odd that it's so little recognised, in the face of the usual "all valve is always best" dogma.

    (For what it's worth my nomination of the V-Twin is also a hybrid pedal, very much not all-valve.)
