I'm sure I could be a lot more efficient if I tidy up once in a while.

It usually takes me ages to find stuff again, whenever I have a tidy up.
    ;)

I have a clear out every autumn though - make a few boxes of kindling to see us through the winter.
I managed to produce at less a sack of offcuts of week, I take it out Simon of Gus Guitars. Simon workshop is heated by wood burner, also his house.

I said earlier in the post the two V 90’s were finished, at that point all that was needed, the machine head holes drilling plus through the body string holes. Streams I've never fitted the type of machine had that the customer wanted before, these are ones that don't twist the string around the stem but pull it inside machine head. I took one look at it and thought that's going to give me a headache, I spoke to Jonathan at Feline guitars.I asked him if he had ever fitted this type of machine head, which he had many times. I passed the two V90’s to him to do. They are back now, as expected Jonathan done a wonderful job for me. They have now gone off to the customer.

I've also completed the SG, it's a 24 fret neck with three P90 pickups, it weighs 5lb 8oz.

I'm now going to take a couple of days off, mainly because it gets too hot in my workshop come 11 o’clock. Plus my planer thicknesser and jointer need new blades. Axminster tools are out of stock. There is a local company I use for re sharpening blades but at the moment they are only working two days a week, my blades won't be ready till next Tuesday.

Haven't done much in the last week or so, been working on the RB6T, should have the first one finished by the end of the week.

I have managed to finish another SG, the customer is going to fit the frets and the binding's on the neck, also finished a TC the customer only wanted the neck pocket routed.

I managed to finish off 3 LPJ’s this week, the two double cuts are a little bit overweight 5lb 4oz and 5lb 14oz, so they're going be sold as “B” grades. The single cut has a quilted top that’s not quite up to standard so this will also be sold as a “B” grade, the body is  chambered so the whole guitar only ways 4lb 12oz.

As you can see from the photo above there are some odd marks in the quilt, but I think once it's got some colour on it or a burst it will look great.

I've only managed to make 1 guitar this week, I been very busy preparing wood for next 2 week’s builds.

The guitar I've just about finished it's a Jazzmaster that will have two humbuckers a TOM bridge, standard neck, Maple with a Rosewood finger board, 6105 frets, the truss rod is adjustable at the headstock. The customer also wants a Strat neck to the same specifications but with a small headstock.

The Jazzmaster neck about to be fret dressed.

Last build of the week, a SP6, if you're not familiar with this, it's basically a Les Paul shape flat top but fitted out as a TC. The neck is the same as I use on the RBT6 Fender scale. This one is semi chambered just to keep the weight down a little bit. It's a Swamp Ash body with a book matched Swamp Ash cap.
