@MLten80 dropped me a line a few days ago to see if I was interested in a project he had going.

Of course I was! :D

This morning, a parcel arrived...

Inside, along with a very nice note, was this in kit form...it was missing the machine heads and pickups, so for now, I’ve slapped a few bits together in order to begin to get it up and running:

I dare say @MLten80 will be along shortly to add a few details... :)

The fret position inlay markers have been drinking (not me).

That's sufficiently odd to be yours.
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

Looks like a prototype for a Gibson RD.  Proper hipster/stoner band axe.  HNGD.

    Bloody hell!
You don't mess about do you?

Enjoy, i think its definately sufficiently bonkers for your collection
I love the previous owners attempt at intonating the bridge. It only had 2 strings when I got it so never had the pleasure of trying it

So yeah, I bought this in suitable h7 style from some chap in a shady carpark in Coventry
I wanted an explorer ish thing, yet it kept getting overtaken by other stuff
(I bought some nice korina with the funds to make a goldtop with the nice part built neck I got off @ttony )

The guy I bought it off isn't who signed it or even the same surname, he thought his dad had made it.. that's as much as I know anguished

The wonky pickups are playing havoc with my OCD tendency to straighten things.

Reminds me of an Eighties Washburn body shape.

Meanwhile, anyone who reckons that slant mounted humbuckers are wonky should check out the intonation adjustments.

    He played it left hand
    But made it too far
