    What's the view on the Squier versions of Jags? They're dirt cheap and as I already have a Strat, but I don't have a Jag or 'stang, I'm slowly getting bad gas for one...

    Why? What's wrong with the bridge and what would I replace it with? (Asked out of genuine ignorance, btw, not some snarky defensiveness.)

    The saddles are pap. This isn't exclusive to the Squier though, it's a jag thing in general. Pop a staytrem bridge in. Problem solved.

    Yep, it's the only part on my Squier VM that drives me a bit nuts! I've been in two minds about going for a staytrem, or a hardtail and build a duosonic instead with the rest of the bits! The rest of the stock hardware and parts are more than good enough though. :)
