I can only think of four les paul sunbursts? Standard, cherry, tobacco and lemon
Lemon sunset gross grass fade????
I mean do we really need a Slow Iced Tea Fade or Warm Iced Tea Fade or Green Lemon fade - I appreciate a variation of bursts but there must be 10/15 variations listed in that quiz - I mean how many variations did Gibson offer in 1958 - The greater variation is to how they have faded over the years - Plus by the nature of spraying a burst with a 'base coat' first, then blending in the edges, then 2 painters will get a marginal variation on the same colour
Thinking back to last year's famous R8 thread, in that run of guitars there were four(?) available sunbursts - washed cherry, dirty lemon, iced tea, faded tobacco(??). That covers most of the basic sunburst colours (except perhaps a 1970s Ace Frehley clownburst) and even then the names seem a bit unnecessarily fussy.
Does it really need to go any further than that? Of course the variations in spraying technique and amounts of fading are infinite, as Mark says above, but that's what pictures are for.
