True vintage Twin tends to refer to pre1982 amps I think,

There is a footswitch - clean, crunch channel, and higher gain channel. Three gain stages - fender speakers.

I think the "Pro Tube" range were so called to differentiate them from Reissues. 

The Pro Tube Pro Reverb I had, had a mega high gain channel.
