At least wine and dine him first *sheesh*

My wife is pregnant at the moment, so 'we' don't drink (yeah, I don't know why I agreed that that either), no deal!

I've avoided any such similar conversation twice thus far :)

Oil City Scrapyard Dogs ordered today, plus various other parts (switch, jack plate, jack etc..) from eBay and Axesrus :)

    Ooooohhh, that looks fab!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Workmanship looks top quality :) - Can't wait to crack on with this!

Moho loom has been ordered (and dispatched), pick guard ordered (not sure it'll fit), custom truss rod cover ordered and artwork for the MOP headstock logo will be with me shortly.

Cancel the lynch mob (for now).

Photos look great, that looks like a very clean kit!
I like the subtlety with the headstock rework, I doubt many people would even notice unlike the Fender redesigns.

Update pics or the mob's back on.

Let me know if Phil replies please, he hasn't replied to email about the partial refund yet, despite me chasing tonight.

Also, should your other half see this, it's not my fault :D

Not too far off the real deal, but buggers my original plan for the MOP logo.

Progress pics as they happen :)

Looks lovely. Those Precision kits are good gear, though!

He hasn't replied yet. What's the problem with the MOP logo?

It would normally go at the end, after the last tuner, not really enough space on the headstock, so it will have to go below the tuners

Couldn't help noticing in the second picture the binding on the neck is not fitting properly where it ends.

Just a minor point i am sure you noticed.

    Small updates;

Refund received for wrong neck material used :)

Proofs for the headstock logos arrived, just finalising sizes and some minor adjustments I made before they get cut :D

Couple of mockups done of how I expect the headstock to look with either logo (strings not to scale ;) ):

    Updates:

Pickups from Oil City have arrived :D
Wiring loom from Mojo has arrived :D

MOP inlay designs finalised and posted (not received as yet, coming from Canada) - picture of the finished products though:

I've also found out that a standard Explorer pick guard won't fit (after ordering one from America to find out), so with the help of a template I found online, a printer and some photoshop work I've now made a template for the pick guard that I'm happy with, I've emailed a copy to Jacks Instrument Services for a quote to have it made in 4 ply (black).

@jd0272 - Not sure how far you got with your enquires etc.. but if you do decide to go ahead with one of these, I'd be happy to email you over the template I've made (once I've had one made and confirm it's a good fit).

No update on the truss rod cover from Rothko and Frost yet, I did send a chase email, but no reply.. Ordered the 1st of July. Will chase again Monday.

@PVO_Dave are both of those lovely inlays going on? Be a bit crowded?
