Lovely stuff. 

Decent sax playing, although Paul Desmond’s tone is a lot smoother than that. 

What it does underscore is what a fabulous guitar solo Hugh Cornwell’s original is- a true ‘tune within a tune’, and something I could easily imagine Desmond playing.

Loved the Stranglers, seen them at least 30 times over the years, but lost all interstate when Hugh left.  Enjoyed the video

Excellent stuff. Is that sampled from the original musicians and meticulously cut together or just done by very clever soundy-likies?

Awesome! I didn't quite realize it was a spoof at first and thought "WTF? Golden Brown not a Stranglers tune but originally by Dave Brubeck? With Paul Desmond? (who happens to be my favourite saxplayer by far)" Well done and as Redlester mentioned, the tone of the sax gives it away. Desmond's playing and tone was like liquid butter.
