I love the last 30 seconds of this:

There is no 'H' in Aych, you know that don't you? ~ Wife

Turns out there is an H in Haych! ~ Sporky

    Bit of trading feedback here.

Oh, and from the same album, the outro to this:

Turns out there is an H in Haych! ~ Sporky

    Bit of trading feedback here.

  • Lindsey Buckingham on The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. Obviously now grossly overexposed by years of use as the theme music for Formula One motor racing television programmes.

Doesn’t make it any less good.

Must nominate Mike Campbell's repeated six-note riff at the end of Boys Of Summer. Perfect distillation of the entire song. From 4.00.
@KKJale ; - great call on that one.  As it happens I really like the version by The Ataris for its energy and even though it loses the smoothness of the original it has a sense of urgency which I love.  It also keeps the six-note tag at the end.

Yeah! That's a really fun version. What's so FREAKING CLEVER about Campbell's guitar tag is that it echoes the syncopation of the vocal (where... can... the... boys... of...) over the most triumphant bit of the song, the chords of the first line of the chorus (I-V-V-IV). Come to think of it, it sounds exactly like a bell chime. Zero wank, maximum hook. So cool.

Hummer by Smashing Pumpkins. Winds down beautifully from 4.25 and the end is exquisite. Two and a half minute outro! Brilliant.

I’m getting the impression you’re quite fond of Badge - tempted to start a “best bass lines” thread so you can pop in a nomination.

It’s a great song btw; possibly Cream’s finest, but it’s difficult to choose from so many fantastic compositions.

I agree with your nomination of the outro from The Chain.

Disagree with your assertion that Formula One is motor racing.  It is a parade or a procession of motor cars of a type.  All being driven very fast....but nobody passes anyone unless their car crashes or breaks down.
