Saw them at the Bulldog Bash, ooof must be a good 15 years back. Captain on guitar, dunno if it was Scabies on guitar…I’m no connoisseur of the band.

Enjoyed them, though, bloody good show.

Rat Scabies used to play drums but left before that. Pinch would have been on sticks then.

On the subject of Pinch, I found out recently that one of my work colleagues used to rehearse with him in their home town of Grantham and they were childhood friends. He refers to him as ‘Pinchy’ though. This guy saw my Damned Damned Damned mug as we were sipping coffee and brought it up. Small world.

So, Rat is back. I’m off to sunny Eastbourne, @Viz is off to Cambridge. Anyone else going? Only 12 months to go.

I’m pleased that they’re back together. Last time I saw Rat was at Cardiff Uni in 1993. I’ll be getting very drunk and getting in the mosh pit with equally sad old farts as myself, but I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

I was at the recent reunion with all four original members. Time has been much kinder to Dave and Sensible. Rat still makes a thunderous noise. 

I don’t think Rat will last in the band, too much history, and huge personalities. Loads of
room for agro. 

I’m going to the Wolverhampton gig. I might pop to the London gig too. 

I must have seen them 80-90 times.

I paid £51 each for Eastbourne, with Ticketmaster.

I watched a post- reunion interview with Scabies. The band's on good terms and were planning to play together occasionally. The Damned will use their current line-up otherwise,  he's got his project.
