The Verticals are at The Old Star Uttoxeter on Friday night. A great little venue and the site of our first ever gig together 10 years ago. The outdoor stage is quite large so I might take my 4x12 to celebrate (weather permitting).

I'm depping with a new band Saturday, not sure what they are called, but all old hands. (It might be the Luminors).  I've worked with the bass and drums before and the set list is fairly pedestrian, so I've voluntered to sing a couple to save me nodding off.

Good new is it's only three villages away from home in a nice new village hall for a family gathering. Food included. But I'm providing a little PA because theirs is crap.

Meanstreak are at the Horse & Groom in Doncaster tomorrow (17th). It's a new venue for us so hoping for a decent crowd.

It's 80's rock and metal so expect some Maiden, Dio, Priest, Sabbath, AC/DC, Y&T, etc.

The Verticals are doing a surprise 40th somewhere in Birmingham on Saturday. 3 gigs in 3 weeks after 4 months off - blimey. I've basically switched from LP to Tele which has been much easier than I thought... although despite it being my main motivation the weight difference is negligible .

Another Jasper gig this afternoon at The Navigation in Shardlow. It's a 'fest' with 8 bands between 2 and 8. I think we're on at 6. I'd best check.

The Roughcut Rebels are playing at The Vintage Nostalgia festival in Stockton, Wilts, tomorrow at 5pm. The first 'proper' big gig with the new line up (me and the singer are the newbies) so could go either way!

Currently sat in a field set up on a trailer stage for a dog show. Sun is out but the dog owners aren't.  Wish I'd had a lay in rather than do an hours drive to be ignored.
