Facebook and Instagram are invaluable tools for small businesses to get their brands out there on a global scale!…

Facebook and Instagram are platforms that enable bands and unsigned artists to reach a global audience that previously they couldn’t access without the weight of a major label behind them…

whatsapp has made it possible for people to stay in contact with each other without paying ridiculous fees to cell providers for sms messages… 

Is there a shitty side to Facebook? Undoubtedly yes… but you don’t have to see it, you don’t have to get your news from your feed, you don’t have to use it… but… don’t knock the people that do use it for something more than just shitposting and looking at fake news stories… 

As already pointed out, there’s plenty of places for trolls to do their thing even if they’re not on Facebook!…

If you examine the forum rules it says that rule 1 is 'don't be a dick'.
My point was that if loads of people are calling you out then maybe take a moment of self reflection and think 'what can I do to diffuse the situation?'.

For my part I'll step back and let you do whatever you wish to.
No one is bullying you, no one is saying you can't express your opinion either.
That doesn't mean your opinion won't be discussed when it is expressed so... forcefully.

in fairness, all he did was express an opinion (not one I share). He was directly insulted, being told that facebook was a better place without him. That really set the tone for the conversation, all he's doing now is responding in kind, but then so are others. It's unfair, IMO, to single him out for blame when this mealy stew was created by multiple cooks.

EDIT: but as you say, no doubt the thread will get locked before long. Hopefully he won't be coolered, but who knows...
