    Usually I would agree with you wholeheartedly, but on this occasion it has just the right number.

    I do like the Ibby SR shape.

    I've had 2 6 strings I think. A Washburn and a Status and I just can't cope with them!

    It arrived safely this morning, but only just, as the box it was in survived intact but the outer box has a couple of big rips in it.

    Other than a loose pot and some glue residue from something (perhaps it had been on the wall with a price card attached) it was pretty much ready to go other than a small action / intonation tweak. 

    I've tuned it guitar-style B to B (B E A D F# B instead of B E A D G C) so that it matches up with my guitars and Bass VI - to see if that makes it simpler to pick up and play.

    I will pick up some lighter strings at some point but a set of what I want is going to set me back £45 so there's no rush.

    Side by side with the Bass VI the Squier is (other than the width of the fingerboard) slightly bigger so it's not too much of a wrestle to play.

    The only problem is that it's made my music stand look lopsided, but I'll learn to live with that.

    I did the B-B like a guitar on the ones I had.

    Made lots more sense in my head that way.
