Weird that the preorder price varies so much between the different retailers- that's nearly £90 difference between the cheapest and the most expensive.

Does look like a solid buy, even at the upper end of the price range, absolutely amazing if shakes out closer to £250.

Good value at £250 considering PMT only just dropped the MKI to £175

I've watched all the videos now and it looks less ugly than it used to! I love it and want it. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy nostalgia vibes.

Might actually ebay search for a Marlin Stingray and a Laney Linebacker amp, too.

They had me at 'analogue dry path' and £250 delivered. Order placed.

Nick Zinner, guitarist in Yeah Yeah Yeahs had a couple of these on his boards. Dave Knudson in Minus The Bear had four DL4s.

See a lot of these on indie pedalboards.

And he's done a demo of the new version for Reverb:

Yeah I saw that - some cool playing, I always thought Pachua Sunrise was 2 guitar parts....

Sort of exciting to see what they do with the new format. Some incredible distortions and overdrives on the HX. If they packaged it with compressors as a DM4 MK2, kept the ful fat helix variable impedance and analogue dry for the pedals that use it, I'd be really keen.

Mm4 MK2 is a no-brainer, and a RV4 would be very popular now there reverb section of the Helix has been fleshed out

Looks like a solid update but, oddly enough, makes me yearn for the original DL4 that I sold last year. I didn't even like the sounds it made that much but it is such a classic design that I quite liked having it around.

Me thinks that will be the normal price once retailers stop trying to up prices thinking it's going to be another 2 year pre-order or die window hahaahha

It would have been madness to change the form factor given the way these things are used (ie like an instrument). Looks like very sensible incremental updates. The price is not much more than the DD-200

"RV-4" is built in to the DL-4 MkII. It's in the fine print, but it looks like all the M-series and HX reverbs are there.

Not the only one - I completely agree. It's 2/3 the size too, which is excellent

^^^ I know, right? If the street price shakes out at £250 it's pretty much the bargain of the century.

Need???..........what is this NEED of which you speak?......

I'm an original DL-4 user for the reverse delay specifically. Large form pedal but an oldie but goodie despite it's shortcomings.

Haven't watched it myself yet, but he's like the main DL4 player so sure it's great.
